"With what is poised to be the most successful Super Smash Bros. release ever, Smash 3DS has a lot of hype to live up to. As a long time tournament player, Smash 3DS, to me, signals the start of a completely new chapter of Smash history that can vastly grow the SSB fanbase. With the up-rise of Smash eSports in 2014, this game can potentially change the entire landscape of the fighter genre if it is well received. We know the fans love and support the series but one question is on everyones mind; how well does the game translate to a portable system?
In short, the game is amazing. It impressively manages to capture the electric essence of Smash without sacrificing too much of the depth it offers by being on a portable system."

"For a handheld brawler, Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo 3DS is a fantastic game. It is near perfect, but it is lacking some plot and depth. The game look stunning, has plenty of features, a gorgeous soundtrack, and plenty of material to keep you coming for more. Nintendo, however, can only fit so much into a 3DS cartridge. This game will tide gamers over until the Wii U version releases, but it is not the next iteration of the series. With that said, the game is a must own for 3DS owners, but much is still left for Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U."

| Wii U GameCube Adapter Only Compatible With Super Smash Bros

The GameCube controller adapter for the Wii U will not be compatible with any software other than the upcoming Super Smash Bros game, Nintendo has said. Nintendo clarified the peripheral's lack of compatibility after it had mistakenly suggested it would work with other Wii U games that support the Pro Controller.
"The GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U is compatible with Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U specifically - it is not compatible with any other Wii U software," Nintendo said in a statement issued to GameSpot.
"The adapter is also not compatible with Wii and we apologise for any confusion"
